Today: National Cheesecake Day Cake Walk
– Fibre 1* Cheesecake Bars Take to Toronto Streets –
TORONTO, July 30, 2016 /CNW/ - Today, on National Cheesecake Day, Torontonians can have their cake and eat it too!
To celebrate the day dedicated to the ubiquitous indulgent dessert, the Fibre 1* Cake Walk will see larger-than-life cheesecake mascots participating in a speed walk course through the city – while giving out free cheesecake bars.
Following the very technical steps of race walking, the mascot bars will showcase the art of straight-leg stepping and hip rolling – allowing them just the right posture to wiggle their way around town.

The origins of cheesecake date back to ancient Greece where the dessert was considered to be an excellent source of energy – so much in fact, that this now-famed dessert was even served to competing athletes in the very first Olympic game in 776 B.C.
