Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange
TORONTO, April 9, 2019 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) for March 2019.
TSX welcomed 10 new issuers in March 2019, compared with 23 in the previous month and 13 in March 2018. The new listings were eight exchange traded funds, one life sciences company and one technology company. Total financings raised in March 2019 increased 301% from the previous month, and were up 78% compared to March 2018. The total number of financings in March 2019 was 45, compared with 42 the previous month and 42 in March 2018.

TSXV welcomed seven new issuers in March 2019, compared with six the previous month and 11 in March 2018. The new listings were five capital pool companies, one mining company and one life sciences company. Total financings raised in March 2019 increased 91% compared to the previous month, but were down 23% compared to March 2018. There were 102 financings in March 2019, compared with 73 in the previous month and 130 in March 2018.
