Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange
TORONTO, Sept. 10, 2018 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) for August 2018.
TSX welcomed six new issuers in August 2018, compared with seven in the previous month and three in August 2017. The new listings were six exchange traded funds. Total financings raised in August 2018 decreased 53% from the previous month, and were down 76% compared to August 2017. The total number of financings in August 2018 was 26, compared with 34 the previous month and 39 in August 2017.

TSXV welcomed eight new issuers in August 2018, compared with eight the previous month and five in August 2017. The new listings were five capital pool companies, one mining company, one technology company and one oil & gas company. Total financings raised in August 2018 decreased 41% compared to the previous month, but were up 8% compared to August 2017. There were 116 financings in August 2018, compared with 113 in the previous month and 139 in August 2017.
