TORONTO, Aug. 29, 2018 /CNW/ - On Wednesday August 29 at 9am, Tim Hortons will present Special Olympics Canada with a cheque for the proceeds from the exclusive Special Olympics Donut, which was available on July 21 to commemorate Global Day of Inclusion, designed in collaboration with Savannah, a 14-year-old Alberta-based Special Olympics athlete.
The Global Day of Inclusion aims to help create a world where all individuals are recognized and included. Special Olympics Canada is proud to announce that, with the help of Tim Hortons as its Official Partner of Day of Inclusion, a total of $121,000 was raised for Special Olympics daily and year-round community programs across the country, which enrich the lives of Canadians with intellectual disabilities through the transformative power of sport.

In celebration of Special Olympics 50th anniversary and Global Day of Inclusion, Tim Hortons collaborated with Special Olympics to create a donut designed by a Special Olympics athlete, which was sold across the country at all participating locations on July 21, Global Day of Inclusion.
