CLEVELAND, Feb. 25, 2015 /CNW/ -- Things Remembered, the Cleveland-based personalized gift retailer, named Lisa Gavales President and CEO last November and is now adding the Chairman's duties and title to the role.
Michael Anthony, who had been Chairman, President and CEO for eight years, has stepped down from the board.
Prior to joining Things Remembered last fall, Gavales, a brand and product marketing expert, built her successful career with executive positions at great brands like Talbots (President of Direct and Chief Marketing Officer), Express (Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer) and Bloomingdales. In honing her skills as a dynamic change agent early on, Lisa began her career in Macy's training program and then spent several years as a management consultant for Price Waterhouse's Management Horizon division.
At Things Remembered, Gavales has swiftly laid out a vision of a personalized, omni-channel brand that will engage and delight the customer and lead the company to its next phase of growth. In addition, she has expeditiously made operational changes that provide the foundation for the company to test and learn exactly what the customer responds to best in order to navigate the highly competitive retail environment.
