Thermotex Launches Fundraising Campaign for National Pet Day
Canadian-Made & Operated Far Infrared Therapeutic Company Supports North American Animal Shelters
CALGARY, April 11, 2018 /CNW/ - Thermotex has partnered with shelters across North America to raise awareness for animals in need and celebrate National Pet Day. Funds raised will help support MaxFund Animal Shelter, spcaLA, and Calgary Humane Society.
National Pet Day takes place today and was established in 2006 to celebrate cherished companion animals while raising awareness for the plight of animals awaiting adoption. Approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter North American animal shelters every year. Each year, approximately 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized. Denver-based MaxFund Animal Shelter is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter and adoption center.
"At MaxFund, we're working to give every dog and cat in our care the ability to have a second chance at finding a forever family – a second chance at life," states MaxFund coordinator Kathy Gaines. "We appreciate the opportunity to partner with other organizations that recognize the benefits of supporting shelters."
Thermotex is a leader in the manufacturing of patented, medical grade far infrared therapy systems for Personal, Pet and Equine use and are registered with the FDA and Health Canada. The Thermotex Pet Line helps to relieve mobility issues, joint stiffness, arthritis, inflammation, pain and other causes of discomfort naturally, safely and effectively.
"Our products are extremely effective," states Thermotex Executive Vice President, Wendy Docherty. "The gentle heat does not burn or dehydrate skin and penetrates 2.36 inches, ten times deeper than a generic heating pad, which only penetrates 1/8 of an inch."
From April 11 – 21, 2018, Thermotex will donate 10% of sales generated from the campaign to shelter partners. Purchase a pet bed via bit.ly/ThermotexPets utilizing the following codes for each shelter to donate: SPCALA10, MAXFUND10, CALGARYHUMANE10.
Ana Bustilloz of spcaLA adds, "Partnering with a company like Thermotex brings awareness to the shelters and the animals who need homes. Adopting a pet is a wonderful thing – not only do you save that pet, but you create a space for another."
