OTTAWA, Nov. 24 /CNW Telbec/ - Thermal Energy International Inc. (TSX-V:TMG) (www.thermalenergy.com) (the "Company" or "Thermal Energy") provides the following update regarding the planned testing of its THERMALONOx(TM) process to be conducted in China in cooperation with the South China University of Technology ("SCUT").
ThermaLONOx test equipment arrived in China in November, 2008. The equipment was to be installed and tested at a coal fired power generation plant. Major delays were experienced at China Customs leading to the equipment not being released and delivered to the test site until June, 2009. Subsequently Thermal Energy received news that the test site was to stop operations permanently, and testing could not be completed. As a result testing of the equipment has been delayed indefinitely until such time as Thermal Energy and SCUT can identify another test site willing and capable of cooperating to complete the testing on a cost effective basis.
