MONTREAL
,
Sept. 14
/CNW Telbec/ - The 798th and final draw of the Super 7 lottery will be of great interest to customers since the
$21 million
jackpot will be entirely paid out in the
September 18
draw.
That means that, should no one win in the 7/7 category, the entire jackpot will be distributed to the winner(s) of the 6/7+B category. In turn, if no one wins in the 6/7+B category, the jackpot will be divided among the winners of the 6/7 category.
Launched in
June 1994
, this Canada-wide lottery has produced many winners over the past 15 years. The highest prize awarded to a
Quebec
customer was
$30 million
paid out to a Lanaudière resident in 2006. That same year, a group from the Montérégie also shared
$27 million
.
As of
September 19
, the Super 7 will be replaced by Lotto Max, a weekly lottery with Friday draws. As the result of an extensive study on the expectations of Canadians, the Lotto Max formula will offer larger jackpots and produce more millionaires.
So, it's time to say goodbye to Super 7 and hello to Lotto Max!
