MobileSyrup Launches 2017 Readers' Choice Awards
TORONTO, Oct. 17, 2017 /CNW/ - When it comes to mobile products and services in Canada, there's no better authority than Canadians. MobileSyrup, Canada's leading independent resource on mobile technology, has officially announced the launch of its inaugural Readers' Choice Awards.
"Canadians are passionate and fascinated by mobile technology," said Ian Hardy, Publisher of MobileSyrup. "We created the MobileSyrup Readers' Choice Awards to help Canadians recognize the best mobile products, apps and services. The Readers' Choice Awards give Canadians an opportunity to decide who are the best and brightest in mobile technology. Canada has lots to celebrate and we wanted to bring that to life for the mobile industry."
The MobileSyrup Readers' Choice Awards recognizes the best in Canadian mobile across a variety of categories. The nominees have been determined by MobileSyrup editors, and readers will select the winners. The nominee with the most votes will be named the winner in each of the awards' nine categories.
Canadians will be able to vote for the Best Canadian Carrier starting today. There will be one national winner, as well as regional winners in each province and territory.
New categories will be added each week until December 4, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
The categories and start dates for voting are:
Best Canadian carrier – October 17
Best Canadian carrier customer service – October 23
Best Canadian carrier rate plans – October 30
Best Canadian-developed app and mobile game – November 6
Best Automobile tech – November 13
Best Smartphone (flagship), Best Smartphone (budget) – November 20
Best Wearable – November 27
Results will be based on online voting and voters will be limited to one vote per category.i Winners for all categories will be announced in December and will receive a physical award for display.
