Culinary creativity will be on the table when top chefs square off on November 8, 2015
TORONTO, Oct. 27, 2015 /CNW/ - An international food fight is cooking at the upcoming Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto.
Following a successful inaugural competition last year, The Royal is serving up a second helping of its International Invitational Chef Challenge when the Fair returns to Exhibition Place from Nov. 6-15, 2015.
Food lovers will be able to watch top chefs from Toronto, Florida and Northern Ireland put their culinary talents on the table on Sunday, November 8 at the Burnbrae Farms Food and Lifestyle Stage. Award-winning chef and author Ted Reader will host the competition.
"The Royal is all about the very best in fresh, local food and farming, so it will be a real thrill to see these chefs put their passion and creativity to the test," said Charlie Johnstone, The Royal's Chief Executive Officer.
Chefs competing in the event include:
- Joshua Dyer, Chef de Cuisine at EPIC Restaurant at Toronto's Fairmont Royal York Hotel. Recognized as one of 2015's Top 30 Under 30 by the Ontario Culinary Tourism Alliance, Chef Dyer brings extensive experience to EPIC at Fairmont Royal York with over ten years in the culinary industry.
- Mark Aleks, Chef at the Palm Beach Convention Center where he regularly hosts plated dinner parties for up to 5000 attendees.
