LONDON, Nov. 8, 2013 /CNW/ - Every two years, PEX Network undertakes a State of the Industry research project to better understand general trends in how companies are approaching operational excellence. What tools and methodologies are they using? What is the outlook for budgets and resources? What are the general trends practitioners are experiencing?
Ahead of the Process Excellence Week taking place in Orlando in January, PEX Network surveyed 814 process professionals to find out what tools and methodologies they're using, what is the outlook for budgets and resources and what are the general trends practitioners are experiencing.
The Special Report: Trends and Success Factors in Business Process Excellence 2014, also looks at how process excellence can better support the strategic objectives of C-Level business executives.
The Special Report: Trends and Success Factors in Business Process Excellence 2014 key findings include:
- Key investment areas include workflow automation, data analytics or big data, document management and master data management.
- Process Excellence continues to expand into all functional areas of businesses with an increase since 2011.
- Six Sigma's popularity continues to decline since our 2011 survey.
- Executives cited the primary reason for not having a process excellence program as 'competing priorities for time and resources'.
The ideas presented in this report will be discussed in further detail at PEX Network flagship event, Process Excellence Week (PEX Week) , which takes place 20th - 24th January 2014 at the Hilton Bonnet Creek in Orlando, Florida.
