The Primate's World Relief and Development Fund Responds to Massive
Destruction in Haiti

TORONTO , Jan. 18 /CNW/ - The Primate's World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) of the Anglican Church of Canada is responding to the earthquake in Haiti . PWRDF works in partnership with Action by Churches Together (ACT) International, a global alliance of churches and related agencies working to save lives and support communities in emergencies worldwide.

One of the largest alliances working on relief in Haiti , ACT Alliance has four members working in-country and is being supplemented by relief from others.

Donations made by individual Canadians to PWRDF over the period of January 12 to February 12, 2010 will be matched by the Government of Canada through the CIDA-managed Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund.
