The Land Administration Company ranked #4 among Canada's Companies-to-Watch in Deloitte's 2026 Technology Fast 50 program

VANCOUVER, BC, Oct. 28, 2026 /CNW/ -- The Land Administration Company (LAC) received a Companies-to-Watch award in Deloitte's 2026 Technology Fast 50™ program, ranking #4 in the category. The award recognizes emerging companies based on their impressive revenue growth. LAC modernizes the operations of land registries, the official record of who owns what, for jurisdictions in Canada and abroad. Its platform, LAVA, is in operational use today. Its Dublin subsidiary, LAC Ireland, is building the company's next generation of solutions. LAC has nearly doubled its workforce in the past twelve months.
LAC's CEO Darin Nielsen credits the company's growth to a team that has both built land administration systems and operated them. Nielsen said: "We're honoured to be recognized by Deloitte, and this belongs to our team. We've sat on both sides of the table. Our people have built and supported the technology behind some of the world's most advanced land registries, and they've run the business operations of registries themselves. That is why we can modernize how a registry operates, not just its software, and why LAVA, our platform, is mature, proven and in use today. A land registry is critical infrastructure. It secures property rights and supports economic growth, and every jurisdiction deserves one it can rely on. In Dublin, LAC Ireland is building what comes next: a portfolio of AI solutions across the land administration ecosystem, from a community registering its first titles to a national registry, built responsibly and transparently so the people who depend on them can trust what they do."
The Companies-to-Watch category is a ranking of Canadian technology companies with the potential to be future Technology Fast 50 category candidates based on their revenue growth percentage over their last three years of operation. This year's winners were required to have a minimum revenue of $50,000 in 2023 and $2.5 million in 2025.
"The 2026 Companies-to-Watch winners embody the energy, ingenuity, and entrepreneurial spirit that continue to drive Canada's technology sector forward. As emerging leaders, they are developing innovative solutions, creating new opportunities, and laying the foundation for long-term success," said Amanda Perran, National Technology Fast 50 program co-leader at Deloitte Canada.
In a market where capital is more selective and customers expect proven value earlier than ever, Companies-to-Watch winners are finding ways to grow by solving real business challenges and building solutions that resonate with the market. Their momentum offers an early glimpse into the technologies, business models, and entrepreneurs that will shape Canada's next generation of technology leaders.
"These companies are proof that Canada's innovation pipeline remains strong. Their vision, determination, and early achievements position them well for future growth and industry leadership," added Brendan Cooper, National Technology Fast 50 program co-leader at Deloitte Canada. "We look forward to seeing how they continue to challenge convention, scale their impact, and contribute to Canada's technology ecosystem."
