The Government of Canada to invest in stronger, more resilient and affordable food distribution systems

OTTAWA, ON, Oct. 22, 2026 /CNW/ -- The Honourable Heath MacDonald, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food will be in Etobicoke, Ontario to announce investments aimed at supporting food security across communities.

Minister MacDonald will be joined by James Maloney, Member of Parliament for Etobicoke--Lakeshore; Fares Al Soud, Member of Parliament for Mississauga; Lori Nikkel, CEO, Second Harvest; and Kirstin Beardsley, CEO, Food Banks Canada.
