The Driving School Association of Québec develops an action plan following the legalization of cannabis Français
REPENTIGNY, QC, Oct. 22, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - In the wake of the legalization of Cannabis in Canada, the Quebec Association of Driving Schools wishes to inform the public of the concrete actions it has undertaken to help raise awareness of the impact of the legalization of Cannabis to all young people and especially to future drivers.
Our organization has established an action plan to educate in-class and in-car instructors as well of future drivers.
In partnership with Alco Prevention Canada, established since 1989 and partner of MAAD in the prevention and detection of drunk driving and drugs, a training and intervention curriculum has been developed for the benefit of driving school instructors. This training will increase their level of knowledge and establish action plans for teachers, front-line workers with future drivers. It will enable them to better detect and better inform the clientele of the consequences and repercussions of the use of cannabis in everyday life and more particularly at the wheel.
In addition, a partnership has been established with the global organization, A Drug Free World, which works to prevent and increase awareness of the harmful effects of drug use. This partnership will enable young drivers to obtain quality documentation on the harmful effects of using Cannabis and other drugs. This same documentation will be available to all Quebec organizations involved in the prevention of drug use. It will be produced and distributed free of charge.
The Driving School Association of Québec provide driving education to more than 40,000 young future drivers with better information on the effects and repercussions of cannabis use.
Trouveruneecole.com allows public to find nearest driving schools member of our association offering subsidized education programs. These include the impact of using cannabis or other drugs.
The Driving School Association of Québec invites the public to be part of the solution by supporting the action of our driving school members. The AECQ has over 180 owner-operators operating a network of more than 380 driving schools across Quebec.
