CANAM CANADA LAUNCHES A SOLUTION TO SPECIFIC PROBLEMS ON CONSTRUCTION SITES

TORONTO, Dec. 2 /CNW Telbec/ - After two years of research and development and more than 30 pilot projects conducted across Canada, Canam Canada, a business unit of Canam Group (TSX: CAM), is launching a new approach to address productivity problems on construction sites which, all too often, lead to cost overruns and missed construction deadlines. The BuildMaster approach is being launched today in Toronto during Construct Canada, the largest construction trade show in the country.

Canam's BuildMaster approach is revolutionary because it is the first time that a company deals seriously with all the small details that result in delays during construction and, consequently, generate additional costs and cause deadlines to be missed. The BuildMaster approach ensures that the time spent on installing the structural steel frame is reduced by 15% to 25% through the structured organization of the construction site. This fast-track approach is a definite advantage for real estate owners and developers.

Joël Nadeau, Vice President of Canam Canada, explains that implementing BuildMaster aims to simplify the work and number of handling operations at the jobsite. In addition to being logistically complex, this approach has significant positive repercussions on the design, engineering, manufacturing and on-site delivery of products. The BuildMaster approach is based on the use of technological tools rarely used before in the construction sector and proposes three apps developed for iPhone-type smart phones.
