TORONTO, Dec. 6, 2010 /CNW/ - The Brick Group Income Fund (TSX:BRK.UN) (the "Fund") is pleased to announce that at the special meeting held earlier today, holders of units of the Fund have overwhelmingly approved the Fund's conversion into The Brick Ltd. ("New Brick"), as outlined in the Fund's Management Information Circular dated November 1, 2010 (the "Conversion").
Completion of the Conversion remains subject to various conditions including receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals as well as a final order of the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta approving the plan of arrangement implementing the conversion. The Fund currently anticipates that the conversion will be completed on or about December 30, 2010.
The shares of New Brick have been conditionally approved for trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol "BRK".
