HAMILTON, ON, Dec. 17, 2018 /CNW/ - The Bone & Biscuit Company, a boutique pet food and supplies retail franchise, announced today the opening of its Hamilton location.
Located at 105 - 2172 Rymal Road East (on Hamilton's Southeast mountain), the new store welcomed its first customers at 10 am this morning after a long-awaited debut. The Hamilton location will be the first of many Bone & Biscuit stores to enter the Ontario market. Oakville, Guelph, and Etobicoke are scheduled for launch in February 2019.
Breaking into the Ontario market required significant planning and development, as the franchise has seen rapid growth since its first store opened in 2008. Today there are 36 Bone & Biscuit storefronts across BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. 13 additional locations are scheduled to open in 2019 across the county.
As an independent, organic-focused provider of natural foods, artisan baked goods, homeopathic treatments, toys, and accessories for cat and dog pets, the Bone & Biscuit offers health-conscious pet owners a specialized shopping experience. Health conscious pet owners are nothing new to the west coast, and as the trend toward more natural alternatives gains more popularity in the east, Bone & Biscuit is sure to leave a strong paw print.
Rhiannon Jones, the owner/operator of Bone & Biscuit Hamilton, is spearheading the Ontario breakthrough. With a background in social work, specializing in the animal-human relationship, Rhiannon is well equipped for the position of franchise owner. Having worked her way through high school and university at a pet store, it's always been in the back of her mind to open her own store.
"When I came across The Bone and Biscuit Company, we felt that their mission was a great fit for our family. We loved how they focused on quality products and providing education to their customers. We also really appreciated how they always want to give back to their local community! Then we found out they wanted to bring their stores to Ontario! It's a dream come true," Jones says.
With the launch of the new store happening in time for the holiday season, this is the place to visit for all the last minute shoppers looking to spoil their pets.
