The 117th Canton Fair - "Progress and profit through innovation and improvement"

GUANGZHOU, China, April 15, 2015 /CNW/ -- As China's highest profile biannual trade event, the Canton Fair is always looking for the best ways to bring the world's leading buyers and sellers together. As participants gear up to attend the 117^th installment - set to run from April 15 to May 5 - they can look forward to the most innovative, streamlined and profitable event in the history of the Fair, with upgrades and new initiatives across the board.

Hosting 60,000 booths, the Fair exhibition area has been expanded, with new space for new energy sources, pet supplies and outdoor spas. Overseas and domestic electrical appliance and textile manufacturers are strategically positioned next to each other to enhance business development.

The Canton Fair's strong focus on pushing the boundaries of design will continue. The Product Design Centre will feature seven work centers, with 81 design agencies from 10 countries taking part. The Canton Fair Design Awards will add a range of extra incentives for companies to participate, with around 400 already registered.

The 117^th Canton Fair is technologically smarter than ever, employing a range of initiatives to enhance the event experience and boost efficiency. All attendees will benefit from the Fair's E-commerce platform, the New Product Launching Center, the Canton Fair Integrated Service Platform for Buyers, a range of Easy Exhibitor services and an upgraded Canton Fair website, as well as the world-class Canton Fair call centre and free WiFi.

Methods used by the Canton Fair to attract new participants have been further upgraded, with a strong focus on innovation and the application of new technology, social media and incentive mechanisms. The Fair's Advertisement Reward for New Buyers (ARNB) program has expanded to improve the Fair experience for new buyers from 10 designated countries with 100 USD worth of services or gifts, and two special awards including one round-trip air ticket and a night in the Hyatt Hotel. For the first time the Fair also collaborated with leading airline Emirates, offering discounted business and economy plane tickets to all registered buyers with a Canton Fair promotion code.
