CALGARY, Oct. 15, 2014 /CNW/ - Tesla Exploration Ltd., Calfrac Well Services Ltd., NanoSeis LLC, Reservoir Imaging Ltd. and Silixa Ltd. are pleased to announce a new Strategic Alliance serving the Canadian Oil and Gas industry. Tesla Exploration is a leader in 2D, 3D, 4D and micro-seismic acquisition, Calfrac Well Services in pumping services including unconventional fracturing and well stimulations, NanoSeis in downhole and surface microseismic processing, Reservoir Imaging, in acquiring and processing downhole seismic data in complex situations utilising optimised downhole equipment and processing software and Silixa in Distributed Acoustic Sensing (iDAS^TM) and Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS).

Silixa's iDAS technology, coupled with industry leading distributed temperature sensing technology (ULTIMA™ DTS), offers a cost effective solution for multiple in-well applications through a single cable installation.  High resolution, geophone equivalent seismic data can be acquired on demand, even in flowing wells. Data can be recorded through either single-mode or multi-mode fibre optic cables providing benefits through lower operational expenditure and increased opportunities for monitoring using existing infrastructure.

The primary goal of the Strategic Alliance is to be able to provide customers with a more complete integrated solution across all disciplines thus offering a more efficient approach for; pre-project planning, field related operations and interpretation services leading to a more accurate Earth Model. The Alliance will address Life Of Field (LOF) issues through the real-time monitoring of; hydraulic fracturing, temperature, fluid flow, caprock integrity, steam chamber growth. Furthermore, velocity model calibration and multi-offset and 3D VSPs can be acquired more efficiently with wells that have fibre.
