MONTRÉAL, Sept. 21, 2026 /CNW/ -- Teneo, the global CEO advisory firm, today announced the appointment of The Honourable Jean Charest, partner at Therrien Couture Jolicoeur (TCJ), as a Senior Advisor based in the firm's Montréal office.
Mr. Charest will support Teneo's continued growth in Canada, providing senior counsel to CEOs and business leaders navigating complex business, public policy and geopolitical issues. His appointment further strengthens Teneo's advisory capabilities in Canada, drawing on his decades of senior-level experience across government, public policy and business.
Mr. Charest is one of Canada's most recognized political figures, having served as Premier of Québec from 2003 to 2012 and as a former Deputy Prime Minister of Canada. He is well-versed on matters of international trade, having played a central role in championing the free-trade agreement between Canada and the European Union – the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
"We are very pleased to welcome Jean Charest to Teneo as a Senior Advisor," said James Crossland, Global Vice Chairman. "Jean brings an exceptional depth of experience and a sophisticated understanding of the political, economic and geopolitical issues shaping Canada's position in the global economy. His perspective and counsel on many matters will be invaluable to our clients, both in Canada and internationally."
Jean Charest said: "I am delighted to join Teneo's talented team in Canada.
