TekSavvy Fundraises to create Planet Pink - a World without Breast Cancer
Company to donate $1 to the Canadian Cancer Society for every new TekSavvy newsletter registrant
CHATHAM, ON, Oct. 2, 2013 /CNW/ - TekSavvy Solutions Inc. ("TekSavvy"), one of Canada's leading independent Internet service providers, is proud to participate in Breast Cancer Awareness month with its very own Planet Pink fundraising initiative.
In an effort to help make this a breast cancer free planet, TekSavvy will donate $1 (CAD) to the Canadian Cancer Society in support of breast cancer for every individual who registers to receive the TekSavvyBuzz newsletter. Canadians across the country can support this initiative by signing up at TekSavvy.com, or www.facebook.com/TekSavvySolutionsInc. As a thank you to participants, every 100th registrant will receive a free Planet Pink t-shirt.
"TekSavvy is involved in a number of charitable initiatives with the Canadian Cancer Society throughout the year," said Tina Furlan, Director Marketing and Communications at TekSavvy. "Breast cancer is a cause especially close to our hearts as a number of our employees have been personally impacted by this disease. We hope to raise awareness and help to create a planet without breast cancer through initiatives like Planet Pink."
At the end of this campaign, the funds raised will be presented to the Chatham branch of the Canadian Cancer Society.
