Teamsters in Solidarity With Construction Workers

LAVAL, QC, May 17, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - The Teamsters union has always been an ally of workers in the construction industry. In fact, the Teamsters represent thousands of workers in this industry across Canada.

The strike mandate that construction workers have given their respective unions in Québec reflects a generalized feeling of exasperation among workers. Teamsters Canada stands in solidarity with their struggles and wholeheartedly supports all their demands for fair treatment.

There's strength in numbers! In order to win this battle, construction workers know that they will have to remain committed and steadfast for as long as it takes. The Teamsters union will be by their side throughout the negotiations and in the event of a strike, if it comes to that.

Teamsters Canada represent 125,000 workers in all industries, including more than 10,000 in the construction industry. The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, with which Teamsters Canada is affiliated, has 1.4 million members in North America.
