CALGARY, April 2, 2014 /CNW/ - Commitment to giving back and strengthening the communities in which employees live and work is one of the many reasons why Tarpon Energy Services Ltd. has formed a new partnership with the Missing Children Society of Canada (MCSC). Through participation in MCSC's CodeSearch program, Tarpon will be helping to reunite missing children with their families. With 1,600 employees across Western Canada and a fleet of 740 trucks on the roadways, Tarpon will serve as a valuable resource in helping MCSC locate missing children.
Codesearch is an app-based rapid response program that engages corporate partners and their employees with law enforcement in the active search for missing children. Tarpon's employees will be actively involved by downloading the CodeSearch app and signing up to be notified in the event a child goes missing in their area.
"The CodeSearch program allows our employees to play a key role in keeping children and families safe in their communities by being the extra eyes, ears and boots on the ground when a child goes missing," said John Henry, president & CEO of Tarpon Energy Services. "We are excited to be part of this innovative program that will help bring missing children home safely."
"We are truly appreciative of Tarpon's commitment to making Western Canadian cities, towns and rural areas safer," said Amanda Pick, executive director of the MCSC. "Tarpon wants to engage their employees in a cause that is important to all Canadians. We look forward to working with Tarpon and its employees to make a difference in our communities."
