MISSISSAUGA, ON, May 9, 2013 /CNW/ - Just in time for the fall season, Target today announced it is collaborating with esteemed designer Phillip Lim on an exclusive collection for women and men. Available Sept. 15 at Target Canada stores, 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target features a range of apparel and accessories, including bags and various travel pieces.
"Since an early age, I've been intrigued by the idea of design evolution," said Lim. "One of the reasons I wanted to collaborate with Target is because I felt that together we could create a collection that would inspire - one that is modern and chic, but still very accessible."
3.1 Phillip Lim for Target embodies Lim's philosophy that clothing is meant to refine, not define. Rooted in a classic fall palette of neutral tones and prints, the collection features more than 100 items and will be priced on par with Target US stores.

Phillip Lim is a New York-based designer. He debuted the 3.1 Phillip Lim label, which he cofounded with friend and fabric supplier Wen Zhou, in 2005 at New York Fashion Week. Lim's designs have received praise from editors, celebrities and critics for their easy, chic and youthful elegance. In 2006, Lim was nominated as a finalist for the prestigious Fashion Fund Award by VOGUE and the CFDA. Lim also was honored by the CFDA with the Emerging Talent Award for Ready-to-Wear, accepting Womenswear in 2007 and Menswear in 2012. Additionally, 3.1 Phillip Lim has received a nomination from the CFDA for 2013 Accessory Designer of the Year. Throughout the years, Lim has developed a following of notable celebrity supporters including Kate Hudson, Scarlett Johansson and Keira Knightley, among others.
