  Canada
  Rail Conference (TCRC) and Canadian National Railway (CNR) to renew the collective agreement for 1700 locomotive engineers broke down Friday evening.

  President Daniel J. Shewchuk
  stated "We are disappointed but not surprised. CN has resisted any real negotiation in what we believe is an attempt to force third party intervention."
The Teamsters 
 
  Canada
  Rail Conference has been working with the Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT) to ensure a supply of qualified locomotive engineers for the Deux-Montagnes and Mont St-Hilaire commuters' lines but CN is refusing to agree to the arrangement citing "security" consideration.
