MONTRÉAL, Aug. 31, 2018 /CNW/ - Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP is pleased to congratulate our partner Sylvain Lussier, an exceptional litigator and colleague, on his appointment to the Superior Court of Québec.
Sylvain Lussier is widely recognized as one of the most accomplished commercial and civil litigators in Québec. He represented clients before various administrative tribunals, the Québec Superior Court and Court of Appeal, the Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada. His practice interests were both broad and deep in areas such as public law, constitutional law, Aboriginal law, and environmental and municipal law. Notably Sylvain represented the Attorney General of Canada at the Gomery Commission. His interests in civil liberties took many forms including contributing to a World Bank mission to Cameroon and advocacy with the Montréal Bar Committee on Civil Justice, the Canadian Bar's Constitutional Law and Civil Liberties Section and as a special advocate under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Sylvain has also been an outstanding contributor to the legal profession.
