Sylvain Charbonneau appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Blue Cross Canassurance Group

MONTRÉAL, April 3, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Louis Gosselin, Chair of the Board of Directors of Blue Cross Canassurance Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sylvain Charbonneau as President and Chief Executive Officer of the organization, effective immediately.

Mr. Charbonneau joined Blue Cross Canassurance Group in July 2017, holding the position of Executive Vice-President until very recently. In this role, he guided the development of strategic directions and headed all operational activities. Mr. Charbonneau previously held senior management positions in the insurance industry, in particular with AXA Insurance, SSQ Insurance and SCOR. He holds the titles of Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) and Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).

His intimate knowledge of the company and the industry enabled him to consolidate the organization's achievements and to lay the groundwork for a new stage in its strategic development. Mr. Gosselin now resumes his role as Chair of the Board.
