CALGARY, April 24, 2014 /CNW/ - Sylogist Ltd. ("Sylogist") - (TSX-V: SYZ), is pleased to announce the signing of a number of contracts by its Epic Data and Bellamy Software operating divisions.
One of the world's largest logistics companies has contracted to implement Epic Data's advanced data collection system, incorporating it's IntegraNet software and UniView rugged data entry terminals, for multiple locations throughout the United States. In addition, Epic Data's long term customer of twenty years, and one of North America's largest automotive manufacturers, has installed its UniView Terminal in multiple manufacturing plants in the United States. These projects follow on the recent successful installation of similar systems for Lockheed Martin, the world's largest defense contractor.
Epic Data's IntegraNet system and UniView terminals were recently deployed at Lockheed Martin's Aeronautics sites across the U.S. to support production of the F-35 Lightning II, the world's most advanced aircraft, as well as the F-16 Fighting Falcon and C-130 Hercules. The Epic Data system records and validates details of work performed, as it occurs, then integrates with other systems to deliver data where it is needed. The IntegraNet and UniView Terminal system provides thousands of simultaneous users in multiple locations the ability to record labor and other shop floor transactions in real time using the rugged UniView data collection terminals.
Sylogist is also pleased to report the signing of contracts with three customers of its public sector operating division, Bellamy Software, for the deployment of asset management and budgeting systems. These systems were developed by the recently acquired Ontario based Weave Corp. (now part of Bellamy Software) and are being implemented in Bellamy ERP customers in Western Canada.
The majority of the revenue from the above contracts is expected to be recognized by fiscal year-end of September, 2014.

In the private sector, UniView is Epic Data's 10th generation of rugged shop floor terminals that securely run business systems using the latest web technologies. The UniView Terminal can be used in high security settings and its unique security features (i) include adherence with the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) as mandated by the U.S. Department of Defense and (ii) work with a centralized administrative program to allow for effective monitoring and configuration, while software updates operate all web-based interfaces for data entry and data display. It is ideal for high security settings such as automotive manufacturers, aerospace and defense contractors and heavy equipment manufacturers. UniView also interfaces seamlessly with other business applications in real-time permitting manufacturers to reduce the number of devices needed to manage data.
Epic Data's Time and Labor software combined with the UniView Terminal is a multi-purpose solution that collects and analyzes data while providing immediate visibility to production and labor metrics allowing management to make instantaneous production and personnel decisions. IntegraNet, Epic Data's manufacturing operations platform, provides hundreds of simultaneous users the ability to record labor and job costing transactions in real-time. IntegraNet is built on a framework designed to increase access to operational information that harvests big data for predictive analysis and drill-through execution. Application level clustering and real-time status are supported through data pushed over either the Internet or an Intranet.
