TORONTO, April 10, 2013 /CNW/ - THE VOICE continues to soar on CTV. For the second week in a row, THE VOICE was Tuesday's #1 program among all key adult demos. With strong ratings of 5.9 (A25-54) and 5.8 (A18-49) in Toronto, THE VOICE at 8 p.m. delivered a national audience of 1.75 million total viewers. The series powered CTV to win every hour of primetime last night among the key adult demos, including Criminal Minds at 9 p.m. and Golden Boy at 10 p.m. Gaining momentum as it moves into the battle rounds, THE VOICE is up 40% on Tuesdays compared to the same weeks last year.
For the first time ever, THE VOICE out-sang an original episode of NCIS (Global/CBS) by double digits in all key adult demos, almost doubling the A18-34 audience (+98%) and ahead with A18-49 (+52%), and A25-54 (+17%) as well.
Earlier in the evening at 7 p.m., ETALK pulled in 814,000 viewers, 26% above its spring average and leading Global's ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT by 75% head to head.

The battle rounds begin on next week's episode of THE VOICE (Monday, April 15 at 8 p.m. ET on CTV Two) as the coaches enlist the help of the music industry's top recording artists to offer their knowledge and skill as advisers. Adam Levine teams up with Grammy® award-winner Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum, Blake Shelton with nine-time Grammy award-winner Sheryl Crow, Shakira with Joel Madden from THE VOICE Australia, and Usher with Grammy award-winner Pharrell Williams. In this phase, the coaches pit two of their own team members against each other in a duelling duet. After the vocal face-off, each coach must choose which artist from their team is the strongest, and has the option of stealing losing artists from an opposing coach. The battle rounds continue on THE VOICE on Tuesday, April 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV.
Following its television broadcast, viewers can catch up on full episodes of THE VOICE across CTV's digital platforms on CTV.ca, the CTV App, the CTV Mobile channel and through video on demand partners.
