Sunstone Opportunity (2006) Fund Announces Disposition of City Gate Centre and Return of Capital to Unitholders

VANCOUVER, BC, Oct. 8, 2026 /CNW/ -- Sunstone Opportunity (2006) Realty Trust (the "Realty Trust"), Sunstone Opportunity (2006) Debenture Fund (the "Debenture Fund"), and Sunstone Opportunity Fund (2006) Limited Partnership (the "Sunstone (2006) LP"), collectively referred to as the "Fund", today announce that they have successfully completed the disposition of City Gate Centre, located in Chilliwack, BC, its last remaining property. The sale completed on September 29, 2026.

As a result of the sale, the Fund will return to unitholders of the net proceeds received from the sale of City Gate Centre, after the payment of all liabilities, taxes and transaction related other expenses of the Fund and its direct and indirect subsidiaries (collectively, the "Obligations") and begin the process of winding down its operations. Unitholders of record as of the close of business on September 30, 2026 will be entitled to receive a final distribution of approximately $180.00 per combined unit.

It is currently expected that the final distribution will be paid to unitholders during late October or November 2026, and the termination of the Fund will occur thereafter.
