About Courir pour la vie
Courir pour la vie (CPLV) was founded in 2009 by Louis Vézina as a personal challenge to provide an additional forum for suicide prevention and mobilize the public around this serious scourge.
Through its activities and the visibility it provides, Courir pour la vie contributes to reducing the taboo surrounding the issue of suicide and encourages the public to play an active role in suicide prevention. It promotes healthy living as a tool for increasing attachment to life and offers financial support to organizations providing direct suicide prevention services.
Courir pour la vie is a non-profit organization (www.courirpourlavie.ca). All profits are donated to the suicide prevention centres selected by participants.
