TORONTO, Jan. 26, 2012 /CNW/ - Majdi Bou Matar knows what it's like to get figured for a terrorist. As an Arab actor in Canada, he knows all about stereotyping. As the founder of Canada's premier multicultural theatre space, he's doing something about it.
Bou-Matar is the director and co-creator of The Last 15 Seconds, the acclaimed play about terrorism that returns to the GTA starting tomorrow. The play hits the Erindale Studio Theatre in Mississauga Jan. 27 and the Burlington Performing Arts Centre Feb. 3-5. The Last 15 Seconds plays five nights at the Grand Theatre in London, Ontario, starting Feb. 7.
The Last 15 Seconds is the work of MT Space, a unique multicultural theatre company based in Kitchener, Ontario. www.mtspace.ca.
