Strongbow's Orchard Glampground brings rooftop camping to Toronto

Located 10 stories above city streets, Strongbow's orchard glampsites available for overnight stay

TORONTO, June 27, 2017 /CNW/ - Strongbow is taking summer to new heights with an Orchard Glampground built 10 stories above city streets on a rooftop in the heart of downtown Toronto. Located at King and Victoria, the orchard glampsite (glamorous campsite) will take place from Friday, July 7 to Sunday, July 9 and promises sweeping city views from a lush, forested orchard setting giving city-centric Torontonians an opportunity to reconnect with nature.

The winner and three guests will get to experience the Orchard Glampground, winning an overnight stay on Saturday, July 8 by entering a contest on Strongbow's Instagram or Facebook page. For a chance to win, Toronto residents simply share a photo or video that depicts a scenario where individuals are missing out on nature using the hashtag #orchardglampground and tagging @strongbow on Instagram or @Strongbow.Ca on Facebook.

"Strongbow is passionate about giving everyone the opportunity to reconnect with nature and we wanted to show Torontonians that you don't have to go far to get a new view of your city or connect with the outdoors," said Emily Hendren, Marketing Manager for Strongbow.

The Orchard Glampground is an extension of Strongbow's global commitment to bringing nature back into cities in a creative and unexpected way. Cities around the world have been injected with nature, including Toronto in summer 2016. Toronto's graffiti alley was transformed into a lush urban oasis, when more than 2,000 square feet of succulents, moss and plants we're injected into a 650 square foot space. This year in New York, Strongbow has created the first floating food forest that will help make fresh edible perennial plants available to all New Yorkers. A formerly barren barge will flourish with a blossoming apple orchard surrounded by garden beds filled with herbs, fruits and vegetables.

New to the Strongbow flavour family this year is Strongbow Dark Fruit. The new variant is a twist on dark fruit highlighted by delicious blackcurrant notes and a crisp apple finish. It's refreshing, tart and has a clean taste profile without any lingering sweetness. Strongbow Dark Fruit is available nationally (excluding Quebec) within the Strongbow Apple Ciders Variety Pack, check your local liquor store for details.

The winner and his/her guests of the Orchard Glampground experience will enjoy sampling Strongbow Dark Fruit under the dark Toronto skies for an evening like nothing they've experienced before.
