Stone Asset Management Limited Announces Mutual Fund Risk Rating Changes

TORONTO, Aug. 15, 2014 /CNW/ - Stone Asset Management Limited ("Stone") today announced changes to the risk ratings of some of the funds it manages. These changes will be reflected in the renewal Simplified Prospectus and Fund Facts for the Stone Funds.

Following an annual review of all mutual funds under its risk rating methodology, which is based on the approach recommended by the Fund Risk Classification Task Force of The Investment Funds Institute of Canada, Stone has determined that it is appropriate to change the risk ratings as set out below.

No material change has been made to the funds' investment objectives or strategies.

As a result of the changes to the risk rating of the Stone & Co. Limited Growth Industries Fund we have changed the investment time horizon from "long-term" to "mid to long-term" to be consistent with the investment time horizon of funds with a similar risk rating.  No changes were made to the investment time horizons of the other funds.
