MONTREAL, June 18, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - I am deeply saddened by the allegations of conspiracy and fraud surrounding the McGill University Health Centre PPP project. I deny any wrongdoing and will continue to vigorously defend my name and reputation.
I have devoted my working life to public service with 25 years in the Royal Navy followed by 15 years in healthcare. I came to Montreal in 2007 because I believed that I could play a part in a project that would significantly improve the ability of the MUHC's world class doctors, nurses and allied health professionals to deliver better quality healthcare.
I have co-operated with the authorities, who have been well aware of my whereabouts throughout this process, by volunteering to come to Montreal. I trust that others who were involved in the bid evaluation and selection processes will also come forward to ensure that the whole truth will come out.
I will be making no further statement until the outcome of these proceedings becomes clear.
