Sports medicine specialist Tim Rindlisbacher M.D. named Head Team Physician for Toronto Argonauts Football Club

TORONTO, Aug. 22, 2013 /CNW/ - Dr. Tim Rindlisbacher, a prominent Toronto-based physician and sports medicine specialist at Cleveland Clinic Canada, has been appointed Head Team Physician by the Toronto Argonauts Football Club.
A highly regarded expert in the field of professional sports medicine and concussion management, Dr. Rindlisbacher has extensive experience working as a team physician with professional sports teams including the Toronto Argonauts (2005-06), Toronto Raptors and Buffalo Bills. He currently serves as the Head Team Physician for the Mississauga Steelheads of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and as a Consultant to the National Hockey League Players Association (NHLPA) and the National Ballet School (NBS) of Canada.
Dr. Rindlisbacher is the Director of the Sports Health Program at Cleveland Clinic Canada in downtown Toronto where he directs a comprehensive program of physical assessments, diagnoses and treatment plans designed to meet the medical, nutritional and fitness needs of recreational and professional athletes, as well as individuals who experience muscle and joint pain.

Dr. Rindlisbacher's official duties as Head Team Physician for the Argonauts' 2013 season began during the CFL's pre-season in June. He travels with the team in addition to providing sideline and medical coverage at all Toronto Argonauts Football games. Dr. Rindlisbacher will also be consulting with Orthopaedic Surgeons from St. Michael's Hospital - Toronto's downtown trauma centre.
