Sport Clips Haircuts Franchise Celebrates First Anniversary in Canada
Leader in hair care for men and boys opened first location in Burlington, ON
LONDON, ON, Feb. 27, 2014 /CNW/ - Men and boys in Canada are starting to look much better thanks to Sport Clips Haircuts, a modern-day barbershop concept and leader in hair care for guys. Celebrating it's one-year anniversary of the first Canadian store located in Burlington, ON, Sport Clips Upper Appleby will be holding in-store contests for clients to have the opportunity to win great prizes from within as well as from their local business neighbours.
"We are thrilled with how the community has embraced our store in the first year of business," states Mark Wilson, Owner of Sport Clips Upper Appleby. "When people walk in for a haircut, their first impression is 'wow what a great concept'. It's that simple, the concept sells itself. Our signature MVP Experience service is our biggest differentiation point, which separates us from any other options in the marketplace."
The MVP Experience is what makes Sport Clips unique. The service includes a precision haircut, massaging shampoo, hot steamed towel treatment, and a neck and shoulder massage - all in 20-25 minutes. "Our concept gives men and boys what they want and need, which is a quick quality haircut and some relaxation, all while watching the top sport games and highlights on big screen TVs throughout our Store" states Robyn Wilson, Co-Owner of Sport Clips Upper Appleby.
On the one-year anniversary date March 1st, Sport Clips Canada will present Sport Clips Upper Appleby with a plaque for being the first store open in Canada. "We are just as thrilled with the first anniversary as they are," states Mark Schiffner, CEO of Sport Clips Canada. "It is our honour to present the store with this recognition and we look forward to their continued success."
The franchise continues to grow in Canada with more franchise licenses being awarded across four different provinces. Currently, Sport Clips has eight locations open in Ontario, one open in Saskatchewan and one open in British Columbia, making a total of 10 locations in Canada to date. By the end of 2014, the franchise will have 22 total stores open across the country, including two in Calgary, Alberta.
"Our goal is to attract franchisees from strategic areas across Canada, and we are grateful to have established strongholds in four different provinces so quickly," states Peter Kowal, President and COO of the Master Franchisor, Sport Clips Canada. "We now have 59 franchise licenses and continue growing at a fast pace, well on our way to becoming the dominant player in hair care for men and boys."
Sport Clips offers Canadian owner/investor opportunities in 3-packs ($49,500 CDN), 5-packs ($69,500 CDN) or 10-packs ($129,500 CDN), with the goal of becoming the leading men's and boys' hair provider in each market developed.
