TORONTO, July 28, 2016 /CNW/ - Sport Chek today opens its 80,000 square foot flagship retail location at CF Sherway Gardens - the company's sixth flagship location and the third in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) - as part of its strategy to inspire Canadians while continuing to evolve and improve the sport retail experience.
The store will offer the world's best sport and activity brands and an extensive product selection in apparel, footwear, sports and fitness equipment, and accessories. Dedicated 'specialty' areas offer the best product offerings from Nike, Under Armour, New Balance, Fitbit, Oakley, The North Face, Adidas and Columbia.
The store features RFID tags in footwear that can be held in front of digital screens to see additional product benefits, mobile devices for staff to help find product for customers, inspiring installations like 3D hologram boxes showcasing new and exciting products, and a state-of-the-art Service Shop with the very best technicians providing Blackstone Stealth skate sharpening, INTERSTEIGER Mercury high-end snow sports tuning, and Wilson Baiardo racquet stringing.
Sport Chek is also unveiling several new retail innovations:
- New Balance Stride I.D. Experience Lab, a North American first, produces a 3D scan of a customer's foot, along with a proper fit recommendation for the perfect shoe selection;
- Basketball Shop with more than 1,000 square feet of space dedicated to basketball products from Jordan, Nike, Under Armour and Adidas to take athletes from the game to off the court;
- Flagship Atmosphere Space bringing customers the best brands in the world for camping, hiking, climbing, and outdoor living.
