Sport Chek and Quiksilver partner as "Sport Chek Presents the Quiksilver-Tony Hawk Tour" at select Sport Chek stores across Canada
CALGARY, July 4, 2013 /CNW/ - Sport Chek, Canada's leading sporting goods retailer, in partnership with Quiksilver, present a tour with Tony Hawk and friends as they host a skateboarding demo atop a halfpipe vert ramp at select Sport Chek stores in Calgary, Winnipeg and Toronto.
The tour begins in Calgary on July 13th, heads to Winnipeg on July 15th, and then finishes up in Toronto on July 18th. Tony Hawk and his crew, including Lincoln Ueda, Mitchie Brusco, Kevin Staab, Lizzie Armanto and Elliot Sloan will hit the ramp for a 45-minute vert demo, with emcee Corbin Harris calling the shots. The first 75 attendees in-store will receive the opportunity to grab an original autograph from Tony Hawk.
As part of the partnership, Sport Chek stores across the country and SportChek.ca now carry a wide selection of Quiksilver apparel and footwear for all ages. Initially launched with the spring collection, the Sport Chek Quiksilver product line ranges from shirts, to pants to swim trunks. The addition of the Quiksilver line will increase the breadth of Sport Chek's Men's Action Sports category.
