SoundCrowd kicks off Toronto-wide search for 80 pop/rock singers

New large-scale a cappella group to perform at Carnegie Hall in 2017

TORONTO, April 11, 2016 /CNW/ - Calling all singers! Do you want to join a brand-new group, sing pop and rock songs onstage, and perform at Carnegie Hall?

Welcome to SoundCrowd - Toronto's FIRST large-scale a cappella singing sensation. All voice. No limits.

Launched on April 8 (see by Artistic Director and BroadwayWorld nominee Scott Pietrangelo, SoundCrowd today unveiled its Toronto audition campaign. 80 lucky singers will form this exciting new group – led by Pietrangelo, and choreographed by Mirvish/Broadway veteran Valerie Stanois.

SoundCrowd has also received an official invitation to take part in Total Vocal III with musical director Deke Sharon (Pitch Perfect) at Carnegie Hall, NYC, April 2017. "The guy is amazing," says Sharon, who worked with Pietrangelo at Carnegie in 2015. "He's starting a new group now and YOU want to be a part of it!"

To audition for SoundCrowd's inaugural season (starting September 2016), send a Youtube link to a video of yourself singing your favourite song to by June 30.
