Son of Marcus Garvey and Others to Receive Planet Africa Awards on Saturday, October 24th, 2015

TORONTO, Oct. 21, 2015 /CNW/ - Dr. Julius W. Garvey, Vascular Surgeon and son of legendary figure, Marcus Garvey and others are set to receive prestigious Planet Africa Awards on October 24th at Pearson Convention Centre, 2638 Steeles Ave. E., Brampton. The awards program recognize deserving individuals and organizations that are making a profound difference in the world.

Headliners and Keynote speakers have included, Dr. Bernice King, CEO of the King Centre and daughter of Civil Rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.; legendary singer, Yvonne Chaka Chaka; Noble prize winner, Prof. Wole Soyinka and Sharon Marley, daughter of Bob Marley.
