Government of Canada awards $650,000 in financial assistance to this Montréal business

Acting on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED, Emmanuella Lambropoulos, Member of Parliament for Saint-Laurent, announced that the Société d'Outillage M.R. Ltée (S.O.M.R.) has been granted $650,000 in financial assistance, in the form of a repayable contribution, for the acquisition of equipment that will help the business increase productivity and continue to expand.
Founded in 1971, S.O.M.R. is an innovative SME that specializes in precision machining and custom parts and tooling manufacturing for the aerospace industry. The funding awarded through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program (QEDP) will enable the corporation to acquire two CNC machining centres and a measurement and inspection arm.
