MONTREAL, Aug. 8, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - SNC-Lavalin (TSX: SNC) announces today that Chantal Sorel has been appointed Executive Vice-President, Capital, in addition to her current role as Managing Director, effective immediately. Based in Montreal, she will report to Neil Bruce, President and Chief Executive Officer, and serve as a member of our Executive Committee.
As Executive Vice-President and Managing Director, Capital, Ms. Sorel will continue to oversee all aspects of Capital, SNC-Lavalin's investment, project financing and asset management arm. "I am very excited to have Chantal join our Executive Committee. Her leadership and strategic acumen, combined with her extensive business development and project experience, make her a natural fit for this expanded position," said Neil Bruce, President and Chief Executive Officer. "I am confident that she will be an excellent addition to our Executive Committee and will continue to play an important role in delivering on our strategy to establish SNC-Lavalin in the top 3 in our industry globally."
Ms. Sorel joined SNC-Lavalin in 2007 and has held positions of increasing responsibility over the years. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice-President, Business Development, Infrastructure, and Vice-President and Project Director of the McGill University Health Centre, Glen site.
