SMILE week-long campaign kicks off in nofrills® locations in Alberta today

CALGARY, June 14, 2013 /CNW/ - (TSX: L) - nofrills® locations across Alberta are pleased to announce that their annual SMILE campaign will once again support local charities. The SMILE week-long campaign kicks off on June 14.
"We are inviting shoppers to add $2 to their grocery bill at the checkout," said Marlin Krieger, vice-president, nofrills®, Western Canada, Loblaw Companies Limited. "One hundred per cent of funds raised in a local store through the SMILE campaign will go directly to local charities."
Nationally, the SMILE campaign has donated more than $359,000 with the generous support of customers.
This year, the team at the nofrills® banner hopes to raise $90,000 nationally with the SMILE campaign and be able to continue to support the growing needs of charities across Canada.
