Smartcool Ramping Up for Third Year of National Roll Out to Australian Government Corporation

VANCOUVER, Oct. 3, 2013 /CNW/ - Smartcool Systems Inc. (TSX-V: SSC) is pleased to report on the ongoing and highly successful roll out of Smartcool's energy efficiency technology to hundreds of facilities operated by an Australian government corporation.

Smartcool's premier independent distributor, Smartcool Systems Australia Ltd., has installed over 42 ESM™ systems and 650 ECO3™ units over the first two years of the roll-out.  Leading into 2014, Smartcool Australia anticipates installation of a further 18 ESM and 350 ECO3 units.

"We are working with a major corporation run by the Australian government to reduce their carbon footprint by cutting the energy consumption of all their facilities," says Chris Rogerson, CEO of Smartcool Australia.  "The scope of this rollout has involved installing Smartcool products on every type of air conditioning system on the market, across an extremely diverse property portfolio including buildings ranging from 30,000 square meter distribution centres to small retail shops.  We have demonstrated excellent energy savings on all these systems, from 1,600 kW chillers with the most advanced modern control systems, to simple 15 kW packaged air conditioning units- and everything in between."

Smartcool Australia is providing the corporation with energy savings of 2,802,981 kWh across the 350 facilities where Smartcool technology has been installed to date.
