Slate U.S. Opportunity (No. 1) Realty Trust to Acquire Two Grocery-Anchored Shopping Centres in Virginia

TORONTO, Oct. 25, 2012 /CNW/ - Slate U.S. Opportunity (No. 1) Realty Trust (the "Trust") announced today that it has entered into a binding agreement to purchase two Food Lion anchored retail centres in Bowling Green and Madison, Virginia. Bowling Green Plaza and Madison Plaza are 90% occupied and comprise approximately 100,000 square feet. The assets will be acquired for a consideration of U.S. $7,940,000 (U.S. $80 PSF) at an approximate 8.8% going-in cap rate. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2012 and remains subject to customary closing conditions. Slate Properties Inc. ("Slate") is the Trust manager.
