New commercial license introduces the tools needed by compliance-driven enterprises and for NIS2 and CRA compliance
SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Sept. 15, 2026 /CNW/ -- Sidero Labs today announced Talos Enterprise Linux, a commercial license delivering the security and compliance tooling enterprises need for production deployments.

For organizations that need production guarantees -- 24 x 7 support SLAs and the compliance artifacts security teams require -- Talos Enterprise Linux brings all of Sidero's enterprise capabilities under one commercial license and one support relationship.

Talos Linux and Talos Enterprise Linux are built from the same open-source codebase. The difference is that the Enterprise build enables FIPS 140-3 compliance and provides security artifacts, indemnity, CVE SLAs and support. Talos Linux itself remains fully open source under the MPL-2.0 license.
Proven foundation
Talos Linux is used by tens of thousands of organizations to secure and streamline the management of Kubernetes fleets, including enterprises such as Roche, the Singapore Exchange and DE-CIX.
Nokia's Enterprise Services Cloud team runs more than 320 clusters on 130,000 cores on Talos Linux, at roughly one-third the cost of equivalent public cloud services. Hosts that previously ran thousands of binaries now run a few dozen.
