TORONTO, Oct. 20, 2026 /CNW/ -- What if Canadians could experience the promise of Precision Child Health, rather than simply hearing about it? SickKids Foundation is launching I See You, a groundbreaking immersive theatre experience to do just that. For more than 151 years, The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) has transformed what is possible for children, youth, and families, and this unparalleled production stands at another pivotal moment designed to redefine the future of health care. This comes as SickKids Foundation prepares to mount an historic fundraising campaign next month. Donors will be invited to more than 20 performances during a 3-week run.
I See You represents a remarkable partnership between SickKids, SickKids Foundation, artists, clinicians, researchers, volunteers, patients, families, and supporters. Conceived with Canada's leading theatre innovators--Outside the March, The Musical Stage Company, and Crow's Theatre--the production merges the worlds of science, medicine, and the performing arts. Produced by Michael Rubinoff, the originating producer of Come From Away, and created by Mitchell Cushman, Tanja Jacobs and Kristen Thomson, this unprecedented collaboration transforms the hospital's halls and former operational clinical spaces into stages for powerful stories only SickKids can tell and explores what more personalized paediatric care could mean for patients and families.
Through a series of unfolding narratives inspired by patient stories, guests are invited on a deeply personal journey of Precision Child Health in action. They will experience the possibilities, breakthroughs, and impact of a future where every child is seen more fully, understood more deeply, and treated individually. The stories shared throughout this immersive theatrical experience reflect the potential of Precision Child Health through its three core pillars:
- Diagnose Faster: Shortening the time to a definitive diagnosis.
- Treat Smarter: Reducing side effects and targeting underlying causes.
- Predict Better: Seeing what's coming more clearly while there is time to prevent it.
This is not just a performance; it is an invitation to step inside the future that the SickKids community is building together. Most importantly, it would not be possible without the inspiration of SickKids patients and their families, and the generosity of donors whose support is transforming the future of child health. Nine SickKids patient ambassadors will be featured in the show along with 16 of Canada's leading performers.
