LAS VEGAS, March 12, 2018 /CNW/ -- The highly anticipated Vancouver Fashion Week starts with their OPENING GALA on March 19th at the David Lam Hall at 7:30pm. Basking in an array of international fashion designers, with the likes of new and innovative designers such as Rosemarie Macklin. Tuesday, March 20th, Rosemarie Macklin of Si Mee Collections will preview her Fall/Winter 2018 fashion collection spotlighting the strength of women.
"Mixing emerging and established designers from across the world has been our recipe for success for over 17 years. Vancouver Fashion Week is fortunate to be working with remarkable talent and growing alongside maturing designers. We are grateful that we as an organization can, and have acted as a stepping stone in their careers," says Jamal Abdourahman, producer and founder of Vancouver Fashion Week.
Rosemarie Macklin has been hotly tipped as the best newcomer in couture swimsuit cover-ups and resort wear for 2018. Recently featured in British Vogue and Modern Luxury Magazine (Las Vegas), and the Huffington Post. Rosemarie's designs are crossing over international borders and being sought out by fashion connoisseurs. Her 2018 fall/winter collection juxtaposes femininity and the strength of a woman. The fashion world will be roused by the inspired collection of faux leather, chiffon and organza designs all capturing the essence of "the confidence of women". The audience will leave remembering pieces that they can't wait to wear and see in the stores.
Born in Jamaica and brought up in Europe, Rosemarie thinks of herself as a universal being. Now a resident of the United States she lives in Las Vegas which is the capital of resort hotels. As a fashion designer Rosemarie evokes the aura and excitement of her childhood remembering how she'd watch her elders primping for an evening out – their hair, makeup, accessories and clothes were selected with determination to have all eyes on them whenever they sauntered into a room. She says that in this instance an attention grabbing nature is not a narcissistic trait for a modern woman to have. Si Mee Collection women are permitted to embrace their femininity without judgment of how they choose to display their instinctive beauty. "Empowered Women"
